The message is different, the atmosphere of the record is different, but it works just as well in its own world.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eThis is one of the best heavy\/speed\/power metal albums of albums out there. From beginning to end, the album is very colorful and provides a great range of different paces, song lengths, so the release never gets boring.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eWhile it is true that the record does not sound as energetic and wild and does not want to set the world on fire as much as “Master of Disguise”, the songwriting skills improved. Songwriter Chris Logue did a great job at writing melodies that are very unique. The production was completely nailed by the band. At this time, not many bands could have a sound this clear, but thankfully, this great record was lucky enough.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eOverall, this is a very strong record. The vocals are youthful, passionate and melodic and will please fans of early Heavy Metal, Glam Metal and even Punkrock alike.\u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003eWhile most speed metal bands sound negative in their aggressive approach, Savage Grace sound like they were enjoying themselves a great deal while recording this cult classic in the mid-eighties. Savage Grace’s “Master of Disguise” is a melodic, playful and timeless album somewhere between heavy, speed and thrash metal stylistics with a few Glam and Punk stylistics thrown in.
